Those three words describe our lives and our guesthouse best.
“Wachau, Wachau du Träumerin“ – ’Wachau, Wachau you dreamer’ are the first words of a folksong about the valley between Melk and Krems. For sure, the Wachau valley is the perfect place to unwind, on one of the secret sandy beaches, at a Heurigen, on one of the many lookout points, etc., but our region offers so much more.
Spacious, comfortable and well appointed
are the common denominators of our rooms and vacation homes. Aircondition, high-capacity WiFi, good noise insulation, cable TV, fridge, espresso machine, electric kettle and last but not least our swimming pond, sauna pavillon and playground. Four of the double rooms are barrier-free. Each vacation home can be combined with a double room for a larger unit with a central entrance for up to 6 people.
The ad vineas Gästehaus Nikolaihof is a certifed organic business, we favor local suppliers.
A hotel dissipates ressources. By combining solar heat, photovoltaic and heat pumps we try to keep energy consumption as low as possible. We use our cargo bike for daily shopping and try to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible in general.
To one of the sandy beaches along the Danube in the evening, a city excursion to Vienna, Linz or České Budějovice, half a day in the high-rope-course with the kids, enjoying a medieval pageant in one of the many castles of the region, a pilgrimage by train to Mariazell, a rainy day in the museum - there are so many possiblities to spend a day in the surroundings of the ad vineas Gästehaus Nikolaihof.
The ad vineas Gästehaus Nikolaihof is the place to be for families. Children and pets are not only tolerated but very welcome.
