Even though there can still be hail or heavy rain we are cautiously looking forward to a reasonably good apricot year. In some lower areas the frost in spring caused major damage but in higher located orchards there are a lot of fruits on the trees.
Local apricots of the early varieties are already available to buy and the main harvest of the original Wachau apricots is expected to start at the beginning of July. By growing different varieties apricots will still be available to buy until August.
We are happy to tell our guests where they can get guaranteed apricots from the Wachau.
