A sea of blossoms stretches through the Wachau and that doesn't just refer to the 100,000 apricot trees. Nature awakens in the most magnificent colors and a hike is the perfect way to discover this wonder.
The Apricot Trail leads along pleasant hiking trails through numerous vineyards and orchards, as well as flowering hedges and meadows. Also very interesting are the many information panels where you can learn everything about apricots, from the grafting of the trees to the processing of the ripe fruit. The trail starts in Angern or Paudorf, although I personally prefer the large parking lot in Paudorf and the fine products of the Wachau apricot factory "Lilli's Marillengarten."
