A ferry will soon be set up to take cyclists and pedestrians around the closed section on the south bank. The ferry will connect the villages of Aggsbach Dorf and Aggstein and run every 15 minutes. This means that excursion destinations and restaurants on the right side of the Danube can still be easily reached.
If you arrive by car, we recommend using the northern side of the Danube river or motorway exit St. Pölten. This means Mautern can be reached unhindered.
