Seeing a wolf up close is a very special experience, but the many other wild animals in Ernstbrunn are awesome as well.

The Wolf Science Center (WSC) in Ernstbrunn, Lower Austria, is a research center dedicated to the scientific study of wolves, dogs, and their behavior. It was founded in 2008 and is located in the Ernstbrunn Wildlife Park. Visitors can experience wolves up close, participate in guided tours and workshops, and learn more about the relationship between humans, dogs, and wolves. The center's goal is to promote understanding of these fascinating animals through research and education.

The extensive, natural wildlife park is also home to other native wild animals such as red deer, fallow deer and sika deer, wild boar, mouflon, chamois and ibex. There are also domestic animals such as donkeys, goats, ponies, sheep, Highland cattle, rabbits, ferrets, ducks and pot-bellied pigs.

Ernstbrunn is an hour's drive from Mautern and offers an interesting day trip for the whole family. The wildlife park offers a mix of nature experiences, a playground and animal observation, which is also exciting for children.
