Restrictions of the bridge between Krems and Mautern

From May 18th, there will be restrictions on the use of the Danube bridge between Krems and Mautern. The Mautner Bridge will be open exclusively to pedestrians, cyclists, and agricultural vehicles and will be closed to car traffic.

Drivers will be diverted via the St. Pölten Bridge (B37), which may add a few minutes to your journey.

Access to the ad vineas guesthouse is not affected by the car ban on the Mautner Bridge.

If arriving from the A1 West Autobahn, take the Melk exit and stay south of the Danube on the B33 (Donauuferstrasse) until you reach Mautern.

Coming from Vienna, the route already follows the south bank of the Danube for the last few kilometers.

For excursions, please ask at reception for the best route.
